In 1954, AGC Plibrico introduced monolithic refractories—an innovative alternative to conventional refractory bricks developed in the United States in the early 20th century—to the Japanese market, helping to transform the ceramics and furnace‑construction industries.
Since then, as a pioneer of monolithic refractories, AGC Plibrico has been engaged in their manufacturing, in the development of installation methods, and in the design of refractory linings for a wide range of industrial furnaces and equipment.
Today, AGC Plibrico is recognized as a unique company with comprehensive technical capabilities, highly regarded across many fields of key industries such as iron and steel, cement, oil and petrochemicals, and power generation.
Our company name originates from “Pliable Firebrick Company,” referring to pliable firebricks—monolithic refractories.
