  • Iron and Steel

    Iron and Steel

There is a saying that “the world is made of iron.” Steel is such an essential material, and it is produced through highly dynamic processes.
First, iron ore is melted and reduced in a blast furnace to produce hot metal. This hot metal is then transferred to a converter, where carbon is removed to make crude steel. The crude steel is further refined in various secondary refining facilities to produce tougher and more ductile steel.
Because many different processes are involved in making steel, a wide range of equipment is required. Drawing on extensive experience across these facilities, we provide refractory solutions that support steel production plants.

High‑temperature equipment such as blast furnaces, hot stoves, torpedo cars, converters, ladles, RH degassers, tundishes, and reheating furnaces operates continuously at around 1,000–1,700°C, and our refractory materials are used in many of these units.

  • Cement

    Cement

Cement is the key ingredient in concrete and is indispensable for infrastructure such as buildings and roads. It is produced by firing a raw mix of limestone and clay in a kiln at temperatures exceeding 1,400°C.
With a long track record of supplying refractories for cement production facilities, we continue to support cement plants in their daily operations.

The P・JET-AD Method, Plibrico’s proprietary dry gunning process for high‑strength materials, is widely recognized and valued by many customers.

  • Oil and Petrochemical

    Oil and Petrochemical

FCC (Fluid Catalytic Cracking) units are essential facilities for converting heavy oil into lighter fractions such as gasoline and propylene.
AGC Plibrico supplies a wide range of monolithic refractories that meet stringent specifications for various facilities in the Oil and Petrochemical sector, including Oil Refining units, Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU) plants, and Ammonia Plants.
We respond accurately to the Standards set by end users and licensors, and our advanced engineering capabilities and construction quality strongly support stable plant operation.

We have a proven track record with the following facilities, including overseas.

  • Biomass CFB Boiler

    Biomass CFB Boiler

Biomass circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers are environmentally friendly facilities that generate power by efficiently and cleanly burning biomass fuels such as wood pellets and palm kernel shells (PKS), instead of relying on fossil fuels as the main energy source.
Our refractory materials protect equipment from abrasion caused by the circulating bed material and contribute to stable boiler operation.

For inspection of furnace walls in the combustion chamber, we utilize non‑destructive testing and other techniques to improve inspection accuracy. In addition, demolition work is carried out using water‑jet methods to avoid damaging the waterwall tubes.

  • Waste to Energy (Incinerator)

    Waste to Energy (Incinerator)

Municipal waste incinerators safely treat household waste under high‑temperature combustion and highly acidic atmospheres, while also contributing to power generation and district heating through the use of waste heat.
Through our extensive track record in supplying refractories for municipal incinerators, we help support vital local infrastructure.

Our easy repair materials PAT‑515 and PAT‑M2761 are highly regarded for maintenance and patch repairs.
