Switched electricity used at our Chigasaki Plant to 100% effectively renewable energy.
AGC Privico (AGC Privico Co., Ltd., Headquarters: Tokyo, President: Motohiko Ishibashi), a group company of AGC (AGC Inc., Headquarters: Tokyo, President: Yoshinori Hirai), has switched all of the electricity used at its Chigasaki Plant to virtually renewable energy as of March 2022. The electricity plan that our company has recently contracted with a retail electricity provider utilizes tracking-enabled non-fossil fuel certificates. Companies that procure this electricity are considered to have virtually zero CO2 emissions from their electricity usage, and this is referred to as "effectively renewable energy." As a member of the AGC Group, AGC Privrico will continue to earnestly work towards reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, while also looking towards the future of global society and contributing to its sustainable development.
