Key Features of the THERVEK™ ABR Series
In FCC (fluid catalytic cracking) units, refractories are subjected to severe abrasion from circulating catalyst particles, requiring excellent abrasion resistance, while at the same time sufficient insulating performance is needed to protect the furnace shell.
ABR is a monolithic refractory that successfully combines these two seemingly conflicting properties: outstanding abrasion resistance and reliable thermal insulation.
